{"id":3983,"date":"2024-10-30T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afacpo.com\/apm\/?p=3983"},"modified":"2026-01-27T15:50:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T20:50:11","slug":"daf-modernization-process-model-version-15-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.afacpo.com\/mpm\/2024\/10\/30\/daf-modernization-process-model-version-15-0\/","title":{"rendered":"DAF Modernization Process Model Version 15.0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>&#8220;From Acquisition to Modernization: A New Era Begins&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Master Process Officer for SAF\/AQ and SQ is thrilled to announce the rebranding of the DAF Acquisition Process Model (APM) to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cwspectrum.host.casewise.com\/evolve\/statics\/mpm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>DAF Modernization Process Model (MPM)<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/a>This reimagined version marks an important milestone in the model\u2019s maturation, reflecting a broader focus on modernization across processes as we keep pace with Great Power Competition (GPC) implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the beginning, circa 2010, the Acquisition Process Model (APM) consisted of hand-drawn, high-level process flows on a whiteboard in the trenches of SAF\/AQ\u2019s Acquisition Chief Process Office (ACPO). &nbsp;As you can see from what the APM has become, we\u2019ve come a long way, striving to evolve to become more useful and relevant to our stakeholders, especially the functional experts in the program offices navigating and tailoring myriad acquisition processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Change?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Expanded Vision<\/strong>: To reflect the growing emphasis on Acquisition as a key component in the Department of the Air Force\u2019s efforts to modernize to keep pace with the Global Power Competition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Continuous Improvement<\/strong>: In alignment with our commitment to continuous process improvement, the new name reinforces the need for the DAF to continual modernization and respond quickly to changing needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Customer-Centric<\/strong>: Based on user feedback, we will continue to evolve and expand, incorporating additional policies and developing features to assist you within the constraints of our tool set.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Our MPM update may be cosmetic, but rest assured, your experience will remain seamless.
