{"id":752,"date":"2019-01-15T13:01:11","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T18:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afacpo.com\/apm\/?p=752"},"modified":"2019-01-29T09:53:28","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T14:53:28","slug":"apm-presentation-at-the-defense-planning-and-analysis-society-dpaas-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.afacpo.com\/mpm\/2019\/01\/15\/apm-presentation-at-the-defense-planning-and-analysis-society-dpaas-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"APM Presentation at the Defense Planning and Analysis Society (DPAAS) meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As part of the upcoming DPAAS meeting on 28 Feb, SAF\/AQXP will be presenting the Acquisition Process Model (APM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information on DPAAS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Defense Planning and Analysis Society (DPAAS) was established in 1995 as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation in the State of Ohio for education and scientific purposes.\u00a0 I have been a member for several years and have presented a couple of times.\u00a0 Members include academia, government and industry representatives.\u00a0 We meet monthly in the vicinity of Wright-Patterson AFB, lately at the Holiday Inn off of Colonel Glenn Hwy.\u00a0 Meetings are informal and informative with a speaker from academia, government or industry, and a topic of current interest to defense planners and analysts.\u00a0 My experience is the audience craves up to date information to which they might not otherwise have easy access.\u00a0 \u00a0Typical Government participants include representatives from AFLCMC, AFRL, HQ AFMC, NASIC, AFIT, and DAU.\u00a0 University participants typically include representatives from the University of Dayton, Wright State University, The Ohio State University, and Sinclair Community College.\u00a0 Industry participants include representatives from the defense aerospace community including both major Defense contractors like Northrup Grumman and Raytheon as well as numerous small businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DPAAS is a joint government and industry venture to improve the\nprocesses associated with Defense Planning and Analysis and to provide quality\nsupport in this vital area.
