Aligned with the Cyber DT&amp;E Iterative Process described in DoWM 5000.103, this new content provides a structured framework for planning, preparing, executing, evaluating, and reporting cybersecurity testing activities throughout the system lifecycle. The process flow illustrates how Cyber Working Groups (CyWGs), threat assessments, attack surface characterization, criticality analysis, Mission-Based Cyber Risk Assessments (MBCRAs), and mission-focused testing activities work together to identify vulnerabilities, assess cyber resilience, and support risk-informed decision making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the new Cyber DT&amp;E content, the OUSD Producibility and Manufacturability Engineering Guide&nbsp;has been incorporated as an additional reference throughout the MPM. This guidance provides engineering best practices that help programs address manufacturability and producibility considerations early in the lifecycle, reducing production risk and improving transition to manufacturing and sustainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Future MPM releases will expand upon this capability by providing pathway-specific Cyber DT&amp;E guidance across the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, including Major Capability Acquisition, Middle Tier of Acquisition, Software Acquisition, Defense Business Systems, Acquisition of Services, and Urgent Capability Acquisition pathways.
