The Modernization Process Model (MPM) Version 26.04.10 delivers a targeted update focused on improving alignment with Joint capability processes, refining analytical activities, and modernizing supporting references. Within 1.2.1.3 Analyze Warfighter Shortfalls and Priorities, Joint analysis processes were updated to clarify descriptions, performers, and references across key assessments such as AJA, CPR, CRS, CRA, GFM, JCCA, and JCD, while removing outdated or redundant processes to streamline analysis and reduce overlap.

Additional refinement was made across the capability development and requirements validation space. Within 1.3.2.3 Conduct Materiel Solution Analysis, the removal of the Conduct Post-AoA Review process simplifies the analytical workflow. Minor reference updates within 1.3.3.1 Middle Tier Acquisition ensure continued alignment with current guidance. Expanding integration efforts, 1.3.2.6 Joint Force Requirements Process introduces a new “Facilitate Joint Capability Integration (JCI)” diagram and associated processes, improving structure and visibility for Joint capability integration activities.

Finally, numerous reference documents were updated to reflect current policy, guidance, and best practices, reinforcing the MPM’s role as a reliable, up-to-date resource for acquisition professionals.
