Interim Air Force Requirements Process Guidance Effective Immediately

The Department of the Air Force has issued the Interim Air Force Guidance for Requirements Process, establishing a new Air Force requirements framework and governance structure pending publication of updated AFPD 10-6, AFI 10-601, and the AF A5/7 Capability Development Guidebooks. This guidance replaces portions of the legacy Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process with a more agile and collaborative capability development approach. The Strategic Change Management (SCM) team is currently reviewing the interim guidance to assess its impact on the Modernization Process Model (MPM). Modernization Process Model v26.02.06

The SAF/AQXP Strategic Change Management team updated the Modernization Process Model to version 26.02.06. This version of the model includes two new documents. DoDI 4151.19 Serialized Item Management for Life-Cycle Management and a SAF/AQ Memorandum that renames SAF/AQD and SAF/AQR to SAF/AQT. This version of the model includes updated documents for AFI 63-140 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program, DAFI 90-160 Publications and Forms, and DoWI 5025.01 DOW Issuances Program.
