Interim Air Force Requirements Process Guidance Effective Immediately

The Department of the Air Force has issued the Interim Air Force Guidance for Requirements Process, establishing a new Air Force requirements framework and governance structure pending publication of updated AFPD 10-6, AFI 10-601, and the AF A5/7 Capability Development Guidebooks. This guidance replaces portions of the legacy Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process with a more agile and collaborative capability development approach. The Strategic Change Management (SCM) team is currently reviewing the interim guidance to assess its impact on the Modernization Process Model (MPM). Acquisition Process Model version 14.1

The SAF/AQX CPI Team has updated the Acquisition Process Model to version 14.1. This version includes new content based on DAFI 63-101/20-101, updates based on revised A5/7 Guidebooks, the inclusion of Digital Engineering as a specialized view, and updates to several templates.
